About

Kit Finnie has been a Roundhouse Resident Artist, a Barbican Young Poet, and a member of the Apples and Snakes Writing Room. Film making and spectatorship, especially celluloid and digital projection, inform her artistic practice extensively, and she is the Lead Projectionist at the Ultimate Picture Palace, a community-owned cinema in Oxford.

Poetry commissions have included the BBC Choir, Culture Mile, Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the City of London and National Orchestras For All. As part of the comedy double act The Mayor and His Daughter, she wrote and performed a debut show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2025, and was named a ‘Comedy Star of Tomorrow’ by the Telegraph.
